Upper East Side Duplex

Elegant renovation and interiors of a duplex apartment in a prestigious building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The surgically executed architectural alteration, with exquisite finishes, custom built-ins and bespoke furnishings, create a sophisticated apartment that is not only elevated, but also cozy and welcoming.  The guiding principle to achieve the cozy sophistication from something dark and heavy was light and airy, look good, feel good.  Elements with soft edges and texture were designed into, and chosen for, the space to give balance to the classic architectural details and proportions inherent to the duplex.  The spaces are simultaneously intimate enough for nights with the family and grand enough for parties.
